The World Will Be Nothing Without Your Vision

Every human creation is a vision brought to life. Airplanes, cars, iPhone, smart TV, Game of Thrones, Celine Dion's blues, Google, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Bitcoin are fruits of the vision of a person or group of persons. 

A vision is so powerful that it can change the course of human history. Sadly, many have dismissed their visions as mere imaginations or fantasies or impossibilities that would make them a laughing stock. 

If a large object can defy gravity and fly, if by a click of a button you can find any information you need, if a digital currency can have more worth than fiat currencies, then your excuse of impossibility holds no water. 

The beauty about vision is that it doesn't just come alone — it comes with the mental strength to bring it to life. As you digest your vision, you begin to see what you have to do to bring it to life. And this is where many have made mistakes. 

When we talk about a vision, people limit it only to foresight. They focus only on the future, ignoring the past and the present, thus they are unable to birth their vision. 

Vision is holistic. It is foresight + hindsight + present. Just like physical vision where having the ability to see only far or near objects is an abnormality, having only foresight or hindsight or focusing only on the present is also bad for your vision. 

Foresight is the fuel you need. As you keep looking into the future, seeing the images you want not just for yourself but for the world, you are being propelled to give life to your vision. 

Hindsight is your experience. From time to time, you need to look back to see what worked or didn't work in the past. You have to evaluate yourself to know your capability — your strengths and weaknesses. You also have to evaluate your environment. What worked 10 years ago may not work in 10 years time. So how would your vision fit into your environment? 

The present gives you the resources you need to bring your vision to life. These resources include human, material, financial, and spiritual resources. As you gaze into the future and also look back at the past, you'd be able to tweak today's resources in favour of your vision. 

Visions are so powerful that you cannot afford not to have one, or tie yourself to a person that does. This is another important point to note: not everyone would have a vision of their own. There are some people who have been destined to act as valuable resources to bring the visions of others to life. And this is not a bad thing, because a vision is bigger than an individual(s); a vision, most times, is for humankind. 

So whether you are the repository of a vision or a resource to help bring a vision to life, always remember that visions are powerful and the world is looking up to you.
